The highly anticipated Lord of the Rings game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has launched in North America for next generation consoles and Windows. A European release will follow later this week on October 3rd, 2014. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until November 18th in North America and November 21st in Europe to get their hands on the title.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor takes the franchise in a new non-canon direction. Talion is a ranger who is murdered along with his family by Sauron’s army. He comes back to life with new wraith powers that augment his ranger skills and is now on a path of vengeance. The new nemesis system will allow Talion to develop a unique experience in this open world action game, by having major characters take in account Talion’s previous interactions with them.
