TORIBASH, STRATEGIC TURN-BASED FIGHTING GAME, NOW AVAILABLE ON STEAM FREE-TO-PLAY
Santa Ana, Calif., (May 19, 2014) – Nicalis, Inc., developer and publisher of independently awesome video games, announces that the turn-based fighting game Toribash—developed by Nabi Studios—has been released on Steam.
“Steam is going to be amazing for Toribash. Even just getting access to the built-in auto-update has made rolling out new features faster and easier. Having achievements pop up in real time is very cool too,” said resident martial arts master at Nabi Studios, Hampus Soderstrom. “We had always planned to do a friend list with some kind of messaging system, but it never came together because the overhead was just too much for a game like Toribash. With Steam, though, we get access to a great friends system, much better than the one we have in Toribash right now.”
Toribash is a turn-based fighting game where the player has full control over every muscle in the fighter’s body. Create your own martial arts movies in single-player sandbox mode, or join the competition in the multiplayer modes. The focus is on tactics rather than reaction and button mashing. The game features advanced physics, full dismemberment, decapitation, and comic-style blood.
The tactical-style fighting in Toribash allows players to plan each move in minute detail. A ghosted preview of how your changes will affect your fighter’s movements is presented seamlessly as you contract and contort muscles in an attempt to become the ultimate Toribash champion.
