May 2013 – Avanquest Software Publishing, one of the UK’s leading games publishers has announced the release of Legends of Oz; Dorothy’s Return for Nintendo 3DS™. The game is being launched on May 23rd to coincide with the film release of the same name, which is being shown exclusively at Vue cinemas throughout the UK.

Legends of Oz; Dorothy’s Return is a match-3 puzzle adventure set in the magical kingdom of Oz and features some hilarious new characters, and a brand new villain! Take on the evil Jester who has showed up and kidnapped the scarecrow, Lion and the Tin Man. Players embark on a journey to help Dorothy through the wilderness and travel to the Emerald City to free the legends of Oz.

As they explore the 5 magical Oz themed lands, players must use their match-3 skills to complete each stage and move to the next area. There are 4 game modes to choose from; Move, Limit, Time Limit, Item Collection and Item Sink. Players can earn bonus experience points, special power-ups and yellow bricks to spend on bonus moves. They can also collect Emeralds for doing well on each level, (up to a maximum of 3 per level), which will earn them exclusive stills and concept art from the animated film.
