From today, fans of the Drakengard series can watch an interview video with Takamasa Shiba, the famed producer behind the Drakengard series. In the interview Shiba chats candidly about his experiences producing the Drakengard franchise, looking at how the series has evolved, and diving deeper into the backgrounds of the online novella and motivations for creating the third instalment of the franchise after an eight year hiatus. 

Additionally, the first chapter of the new online novella which looks at leading character, Zero is also available from today on the newly revamped  More chapters from the novella along with additional content will be available over the coming weeks.

As of today, the official site now also features character backgrounds, concept art, wallpapers, and downloadable Twitter icons.

A prequel to the original Drakengard, Drakengard 3 transports players to a medieval world where six goddess-like sisters known as “Intoners” have brought peace to the earth with their power to manipulate magic through song.  Harmony is disrupted, however, when the eldest sister, Zero, attempts to murder her younger sisters with the help of her dragon companion Mikhail. As the story progresses, players find themselves in a battle to unravel the mystery of Zero and learn her true intentions.

Featuring the series’ signature brand of action Drakengard 3 pits players against hordes of fiends and foes in remorseless hack-and-slash combat.
