Evangelion 3.0

Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo-Badge-MOVIEThe legacy of Neon Genesis Evangelion hasn’t died as of yet and I’m under the impression that it really never will. In the recent years we’ve been blessed with the releases of the brand-new Rebuild Of Evangelion films, they change up a lot of what happened in the original series and, in my opinion, it has become more likable and more accessible for Anime fans who aren’t entirely into the mind games that the series liked to play. Between the absolutely brilliant animation, the unique story, the insane action and the voice actors/actresses who have done some of the best jobs I’ve seen of late, the movies are a force to be reckoned with and have really made their mark on the Anime world.

This year marked the release of the 3rd installment of the four-part movie franchise, Rebuild of Evangelion 3.0 (Q in japan). Despite the fact that it was somewhat confusing and a little stranger than the usual level of Evangelion strange, it was an outstanding movie that has basically set up for the final installment in an almost-perfect way. The film’s story put such a twist on what was already a very twisted storyline, it confused audiences, excited audiences and ultimately left them with a sense of wonder and awe. Comparing it to many Anime films that have been released over time, it would still be one of the very best to have ever been released, to compare it to Anime films that were released this year; well, no others really held a candle to it, hence the award. – Frank Inglese
