Majesco Entertainment Brings Motion-Based Zumba® Dance to Smartphones 

First Fitness Game for Tablets Now Available for iOS and Android Smartphones

EDISON, N.J. – Nov. 7, 2013 – Majesco Entertainment Company (NASDAQ: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, in conjunction with global lifestyle brand Zumba Fitness, launched Zumba® Dance for iOS and Android smartphones today, bringing the popular motion-based tablet game to millions of mobile phones for the first time. Zumba Dance launched on tablets in July 2013 to critical acclaim as the first mobile fitness game to use the built-in camera for tracking movements.

The game brings all of the original Zumba Dance features to smartphones, including motion-tracking technology that uses the phone’s front-facing camera; global dance styles coupled with chart-topping hits; a progress tracker that counts calories burned; class customization; tutorials and a live class locator. In the updated version, players also can experience new added benefits:

  • Additional songs – The update also adds two new songs to the initial starter pack for free, letting players rock out to “Zumba” by Don Omar and “Activao,” a Zumba original track, in addition to the original six pre-loaded songs
  • Group goal setting – Using Facebook Groups, players can create their own workout groups, set goals and challenges, and encourage each other to reach their fitness goals
  • Tracking live class participation – Players will also be able to input time spent in live classes into the app’s progress tracker to help meet their fitness goals
