Devolver Digital, the publisher behind the recent Shadow Warrior reboot, announced their partnership with Jay Tholen, the man behind the upcoming game Dropsy, an open world point and click adventure game. The publisher will be providing extra funds to help with marketing and further development of the the game. This extra funding will be on top of the $14,000 Dropsy raised so far on Kickstarter.

Dropsy will be released for Linux, Mac, and Windows in October 2014. The game stars a clown looking to clear his name after a fire burned down his circus. Players will be free to choose their own path in this strange and humorous adventure presented in retro 16 bit style. Dropsy is unique in point and click adventure games as they are attempting to create a text free game. “[Jay Tholen] had me at visual dialog. We’re going to save a boatload of cash on localization,” said Devolver Digital CFO, Fork Parker.
