Marvel announced yesterday that there will be a new Marvel Comics-based Anime series that will be specifically made for the Japanese market and it is to be titled; Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers, which is an odd name but, who knows, it could actually be pretty awesome.
The series will be spearheaded by The Walt Disney Company Japan and is set to begin it’s air in Spring of next year.
The series is said to directly revolve around the most mainstream Avengers being; Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Hulk but will also include others like Spiderman, Wasp and some teenage characters designed specifically for this series.
While there is no talk of release outside of Japan we can all assume that in some point in time there will be considering we’ve gotten other Marvel Anime titles like Blade and Wolverine. I’m really curious to see what they are going to do with this one and whatever they do I hope they do it well. I’m really curious to see what they are going to do with this one and whatever they do I hope they do it well.Â
