Shortly before the launch of Disney Infinity (check out our review here), we reported that Disney had announced two companion apps for the game; Disney Infinity: Action and Disney Infinity: Toy Box. Action saw a release the same day, but all was quiet on the Toy Box front… That was until today.
Disney Infinity: Toy Box is the iPad exclusive app that allows players to play, create and explore the game’s in-depth Toy Box Mode. On its own it comes packed in with more than 60 toys for you to play around with, but the most exciting part comes when you link it up with your PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii U version of Disney Infinity. By connecting the Toy Box app to the console game, players are able to edit their toyboxes on the go, including access to all the toys they have unlocked. This works both ways, as you can start a creation on the iPad app then complete it on your TV.
The app also comes included with Mr. Incredible as a playable character, with the others available using either the web-codes you recieved when you purchased the figures, or separately through in-app purchases. The app also has impressive visuals and can operate as a stand alone experience for players who don’t have a console version of Disney Infinity.
