Today Viz Media announced that anime fans should be expecting Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan’s first release next week. You see, next week on April 2nd Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan Set 1 which contains the first thirteen episodes of the first Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan season. This release will be available for purchase on both Blu-ray and DVD, with the Blu-ray version costing $54.97 US / $66.15 CAN and the DVD costing $44.82 US / $43.24 CAN.

For those who don’t know, the story of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan follows a young teenage boy named Nura who is part human, but also part demon. You see, Nura is the grandson of Nurarihyon, who is the Supreme Commander of the Nura Clan, one of the strongest demon clans in all of Japan. However when Nura is named the next heir to the clan, trouble begins to brew within the clan.
