It seems that Toonami is keeping a revolving door policy with most of the new shows that are airing on the Adult Swim’s new programming block. First we saw Samurai 7 take the place of Deadman Wonderland and now we have Tenchi Muyo! GXP stepping in to take the place of the finished Casshern Sins.
FUNimation revealed this little piece of information over the weekend and this upcoming Saturday will see the first episode of Tenchi Muyo! GXP air. This is one of the few Tenchi Muyo! series that did not air on the original run of Toonami and is the third anime in the series. The story focuses around a boy named Seina Yamada who joins the Galaxy Police after being mistaken for Tenchi from the main series. It is also worth noting that Adult Swim mainstay Inuyasha will also be given an hour long segment at the end of the programming block following Cowboy Bebop.
