Calling all heroes to the many lands of Sanctuary! Blizzard Entertainment is following suit with Diablo III in making the a starter edition available just like Starcraft II. Players will be able to play through Act I and gain experience to level 13. In order to continue your adventure, all you will need to do is purchase the title on the same account and resume where you left off.
In order to unleash hell on Earth, do one of the following:
- Log-in to your Battle.net account at http://www.battle.net and access your game account’s information. Then download the client under Diablo III Starter Edition.
- Create a new Battle.net account, and the Diablo III Starter Edition will automatically be credited to your account.
- Use a friend’s game disc, and type your Battle.net account in during the game’s log-in screen.
The additional restrictions for the starter edition include limited multiplayer with only other starter edition players and no auction house access. With a 1/4 of the game being completely free, this warrants everyone’s attention. Check out our full review of Diablo III here.
