Buying tattoos for your Avatar is now possible

Xbox 360 News Microsoft

Today, Microsoft unveiled a brand new way to spice up your avatar.  As you may have guessed from the headline, it is now possible to outfit your Avatar with a variety of  tattoos.  Currently, there are 23 different variations available, starting at 160 Microsoft Points and going up to 240.  Undoubtedly, there will be plenty more and developers will also bring tattoos from their games in. Perhaps you will even be emulate the tattoo of the ill fated character from the Gears of War series, Tai. However, tattoos are currently limited to only the arms.   Its funny that Microsoft recently banned Avatars from holding gun props, spouting family accessibility as the reason, but now they allow tattoos.  What do you think? Will you be getting any ink?  Check out the full range of tattoos here.

Guns are violent and kill people, tattoos have to do with culture so I don’t find any relevance to a family accessibility comparison.

Tattoos for avatars…. hmm yeah.. that’s kinda really stupid. Especially for the price. Though I have a hard time paying over 80 MSpoints for an avatar item. I only broke my “nothing over 80 points” rule once, and that was to get a kitty hat that I HAD to have because I wear a similar one in real life, so yeah…

But I do find it stupid that they took away the gun props. I really don’t see what the big deal is, the animations for the guns don’t show them killing anyone or anything like that. They should have never let them through in the first place. Since their policy banned weapons from the get go. Then they changed it and allowed some.
Part of me feels like it’s a conspiracy to get some quick sales, since they are letting people keep the guns they already purchased and they gave people time to buy them. It’s kind of like “oh hurry! Limited time! They will be gone soon!!!”
