NIS America to bring Natsume’s Book of Friends to North America

With the fourth season of Natsume Yūjin-Chō, also known as Natsume’s Book of Friends, being aired next anime season, Crunchyroll revealed that they would be streaming the episodes of the season on their website, however they also mentioned something quite unique in their press release. At the bottom of the release the company noted that NIS America would be “releasing a retail version at a later date.” ANN was quick to follow up on this bit of leaked information and NIS America has confirmed with the company that they have indeed acquired the license to all four seasons of Natsume’s Book of Friends.

NIS America did not go into further detail about how they will be bringing the series over to North America, however all of NIS America’s past anime releases have been subbed in English and placed inside of a sturdy collector’s box and bundled with an artbook. Their standard practice is to release 12 or 13 episodes per package, so it will be interesting to see if they will release all four seasons separately in the coming year.
