Jolly Blast Reveals Tony Gonzalez Partnership

News Sports iPhone iPad Casual Apple

The guys over at Jolly Blast Production have announced that they are in partnership with NFL player Tony Gonzalez to create a series of sport adventure apps and ebooks that will be released for the Apple iPhone and iPad. Tony Gonzalez is five-time NFL All-Pro tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.

The sports adventures will feature an animated Gonzalez as “Coach Tony”, which will be the title of this series of apps. His job will be encouraging children to get active and spark a lifelong love for games and movement. Here is what Gonzalez had to say about this partnership:

“The benefits for kids who are educated and inspired to be active go far beyond the courts and playing fields. Whether it’s an organized sport, a school playground activity or a made-up backyard game, kids who learn to develop discipline, teamwork and self-confidence, as well as physical health and fitness, are enriched for a lifetime. A body in motion is always going to be healthier and happier – and that’s the message JOLLY BLAST is excited to share.”

Jeffery Eagle, Chairman and CEO of Jolly Blast Productions, also expressed his opinions on the partnership:

“Having Tony as an active part of our creative design team, as well as integrated directly into our stories, brings authenticity and star power to our series. Tony has long been a proud supporter of youth sports, health nutrition and anti-childhood obesity initiatives, and together we are pursuing the dual mission of entertaining children while opening their lives to the countless benefits that come from being active.”

Jolly Blast Productions have also announced that PadWorx Digital Media will help develop the apps and ebooks for parents, coaches and children. The apps and ebooks do not have a release date as of yet.

Josh is the name, writing is my game... well my degree will say that. But, when uni gets me down (and it does), there is no better way that to grab a chair, sit back and slicing up some Darkspawn I started my gaming interest back in the good old 16 bit era with the Sega Mega Drive and Sonic The Hedgehog 2. I was roughly five years old. To this day I still try to fire up the dusty companion and speed through the wacky and bright levels, jumping on some Badniks, collecting those damn Chaos Emeralds. Then I moved onto Sony's disk based console the Playstation (thanks to my uncle). Since then I have picked up each of Sony's consoles from the 5th to current generation that has been released in Australia (with more to come). In terms of writing about games, I am quite new to the field. I started out late last year with my own blog before deciding to move to greener pastures. I have written a few reviews for the Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable. Features as well. I hope I can flex my muscles while writing with Capsule Computers. If I'm not gaming, however, I'm writing narratives. I am currently trying to kickstart a high fantasy novel (which, hopefully, turns into a complex RPG) that I want done in five years or so. My passion of writing has been there for a long time and has flourished as I grew. I'm into the fantasy genre, both games and novels, and thoroughly enjoy a deep and complex RPG, whether it comes from the East or West. Oh and anime is awesome!
