Gamestop testing game streaming console?

Sony Xbox 360 Playstation 3 PC News Microsoft

According to various reports, the gaming retail giant Game Stop is looking to cash in on video game streaming. With digital sales on the rise, this is no surprise. Game Stop even purchased Spawn Labs, who brought their own game streaming console to the market in 2009.

GameStop will reportedly use this service to stream 360, PS3 and, presumably, PC games to their customers who have the GameStop PowerUp Rewards card. Demos of various games will also be included as part of the console. Pricing and other details have not been revealed, but new details will emerge early next year says GamesInudstry.biz, and the service could launch as soon as next summer.

This would indeed be a sound move for Gamestop. Digital sales are only going to keep rising and its smart for Gamestop to embrace that.
