Neverwinter website is up!

Upcoming Online RPG by Cryptic studios, Neverwinter, has its website live and available for public browsing. The website features screenshots, videos and information on the upcoming game based in the Dungeons & Dragons universe.

The game takes place 100 years after the plague that hit Faerun and much of the great empires had fallen, leaving behind only monsters and ruins, as well as small pockets of survivors looking to rebuild. It looks like this game is taking place after the original (okay, recent original, not the 2d online one from the early 90s) Neverwinter Nights game, which I know at least one or two members of staff here at Capsule Computers is excited about (Myself and MasterAbbott).

Neverwinter features more than a pre-built campaign, it also features, what looks to be, an easy to use dungeon building program that will allow players to make their own adventures.

The Foundry gives you the tools to build dungeons, castles, cities, foreboding woods and everything in-between. Build NPCs the way you see them in your mind’s eye and populate your world with tavern keepers and soldiers, Queens and scullions. Lay the groundwork for an epic adventure that takes players into the depths of the earth in search of dwarven treasure, or pits them against near impossible odds to save the city of Neverwinter.

Easy to use, The Foundry also features a dynamic rating system that allows players to rate and highlight the best player-designed adventures.

There is no word yet on whether the game will cost any additional fees.

Be sure to check out the website for more info.
