I think EA is lying about giving the DLC for free. I would call true victory over a company when a company makes the player be able to unlock the extra packs with no need of DLC at all (since is on the disk). Besides I do not know why people are celebrating from a hollow victory. Every video game especially “EA” always comes with a contract that says that at the moment you play the game you agree to accept the contents of the copy that you bought “AS IS”.

What I mean is at the moment that people buy BF3, you will not have any rights to get the DLC for free, because you agree the EA contract “AS IS” on the disc.

EA can say whatever they want about free, but a contract between buyer and seller is what really counts on every legal law.

I bet that you will see that contract for you to agree (no matter if PC or any console). Then when you agree, they can tell you that they will charge you for the DLC contents plus you will not be able to get the exclusive pack at all.

Remember battlefield 2142, when a small paper came out from a seal game telling you almost the same thing. Many people got screw over because of that, that was the first STEAM LIKE game that came out on EA as a test to create project origin without your permission.
