Over at this year’s GDC, a new trailer was shown for D3Publisher’s upcoming 3DS title, Dream Trigger 3D. Now if you are unfamiliar with Dream Trigger, it is an original arcade shooter which is looking to take full advantage of the handheld’s 3D aspects with plenty of colors and 3D explosions to keep your eyes busy. Dream Trigger 3D is also offering plenty of fan-service to the hardcore arcade shooter fans out there as the game looks to be as fun to play as it is to look at with over 50 varied stages.
The trailer shows the full game in action, of course as best as it can anyway since it cannot show the true 3D experience it will offer, but in my opinion this title is giving me a full vibe of the PS2/XBLA title, REZ, and that is definitely a good thing. I was actually hoping that an arcade shooter would join the system, and this one just seems to fit in perfectly in the 3D world. Dream Trigger 3D may be the cream of the crop of this year’s 3DS titles when it comes to visuals without a doubt.
