Intro
“The best-selling Xbox 360 game of all-time just got bigger, with more epic multiplayer content, first on Xbox LIVE! The Stimulus Package delivers 5 additional action-packed multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations: “Bailout,” a multi-level apartment complex; “Storm,” an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery; “Salvage,” a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars. Two legendary fan-favorites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare return, including “Crash,” a war-torn urban environment; and “Overgrown,” which features a massive dry creek bed.” [Via Xbox.com]

The Maps
Below is a video of all 5 maps, I am the one playing and I had to fit all 5 into one 10 minute video. Below the video I have mentioned some worthy details about each map.

Bailout:
This level has a long area for snipers to cover, but corridors on the edges for protection. A majority of the games are played out in the large opened area you saw in the video, but for capture the flag and demolition the corridors and buildings make good hiding spots to avoid snipers. A well balanced map for short, medium, and long range weapons as long as you know where to be. Short range should remain in the corridors and only pop out every once in a while (clearly not what I did in the video, but I did plant the bomb).

Salvage:
A map with many alleys between the crushed cars, perfect for close range or medium range combat. There are a few decent sniping locations but not nearly enough to make sniping a number  one choice on this map. Fights are usually clustered and end very quickly, in which case you have to find another location to fight. Completely hectic on objective based game types as everyone knows where the fights are and people will cluster there to kill or die.

Storm:
This map has mostly long corridors with not much cover, good for medium or long range weapons, terrible for short range. (I couldn’t actually record this level because if I tried running around and I would die pretty quickly, so I just made a private match and ran around for a minute.

Crash:
This map is a remake of the one from Call of Duty 4, it is exactly how you remember it but more hectic with all the new kill streaks. This map has good points for both long and medium range and a few buildings to jump between for short range weapons.

Overgrown:
Although this map is a remake from Call of Duty 4, it seems more overgrown with the grass giving a heavier cover. Two sides of a creek lead to good games of team death match. Well balanced for short, medium, and long range weapons. Sneak around in the grass as a sniper, take buildings with shotguns or knives, or take a general area with machine guns.

Overview
The Stimulus Package map pack for Modern Warfare 2 is a very nice edition for any Modern Warfare 2 fan. The price on the other hand is kind of steep for only 5 new maps. So while Capsule Computers gives this map pack 8 capsules out of 10, it isn’t something to buy if you are just a casual player. On the other hand if you have money to spend or you are diehard Modern Warfare 2 fan (Diehard defined as playing on a daily basis), pick it up it as it is well worth it!
