Microsoft has reduced the price of it’s Xbox Elite model by $100. The announcement was made today for the US, UK, and Europe. HOWEVER This price change will take effect in Australian on the 22nd September.
The new price for the Xbox 360 Elite in Australia will be $449, which will be approx $50 cheaper than Sony’s new Playstation 3 Slim console which will be released on the 1st September.
Microsoft have also announced that they are planning on moving to two versions of Xbox 360 in the market, currently they have 3 versions. Microsoft are planning on phasing out the Xbox 360 Pro model which is currently available at $399.
The Xbox 360 Arcade model will remain at $299.
